For a long time I have observed the tendency for others to wear sneakers with dresses or long skirts. When I saw how beautiful other girls would look and feel I never imagined myself doing the same. Because I am only 5’5″ tall and although I think my height is average, I didn’t believe I was tall enough to join the ranks of these women.

And then one day I found these beautiful sneakers, by Valentino Caravani. They have beautifully discreet gold thumbtacks and a comfort level way above my expectations. I decided to break my own rule, because sometimes we won’t try new things out of fear or preconcieved notions. And that always happens to me, I’m too traditional for some things, and sometimes that includes fashion. I am sometimes very wary of all I see in the fashion world and I don’t always accept everything or use everything. Many times I think some things are horrible, but it’s OK, I’m not obligated to like everything.

Anyway, leaving my outburst behind and returning to sneakers and dresses, I went there and I tried it! And I love it! I broke my taboo. I thought I would never wear a dress with sneakers. But now I do.

Here it is…….my tip, for those of you who have read my text and my outburst, try something new. If you think you should, go ahead and eliminate the doubt. If it makes you uncomfortable don’t wear it.

In life we are not bound to anything, sometimes we make ourselves like things, but if it isn’t working just don’t do it. What is right for you may not be good for others, or what is good for others may not be good for you. But always experiment and try!!

Faz tempo que venho observando  tendência de usar tênis com vestidos ou saias longas. Eu torcia o nariz quando via, achava bonito nas outras meninas, mas nunca imaginava em mim. Principalmente porque tenho apenas 1.67m e acho minha altura normal mas não alta o suficiente para aderir  a essa moda.

Até que um dia encontrei esse tênis lindo, lançamento da Valentino Caravani. Ele tem essas tachinhas douradas bem discretas  e o conforto de andar com ele foi acima das expectativas, muito confortável. Resolvi quebras as minhas regras, digo as minhas, porque, as vezes deixamos de provar, de viver certas coisas na vida, por medo ou por preconceito.  E isso acontece sempre comigo, sou muito tradicional para algumas coisas, e isso inclui a moda. Não é tudo que vejo acontecendo no mundo fashion que eu aceito e uso. Muita coisa eu acho horrível! fazer o que?! Não sou obrigada a gostar!

Mas enfim, saindo do desabafo e voltando para o vestido com tênis, fui lá e provei! E não é que gostei?! quebrei meus tabus com isso. Achava que nunca iria usar um vestido com tênis.

Olha, minha dica hoje para você que chegou até aqui lendo meu texto e desabafo, é: seja vc mesma! Se vc achar que deve provar, vá em frente e tira a dúvida. Se caso vc não se sentir bem com aquilo, não use, não faça, não vá!
